We took the train back from Mersin to Adana where we found a tourist office. There was the nicest man there who helped us find a hotel (Adana is not a tourist place so no hostels.) I absolutely loved this city. People just kept telling us that Adana was not a tourist place but they were so proud of their city. We went to the air base there but unfortunately they would not let me in. On the way back we stopped at the Sabancı Mosque which is the most gorgeous mosque ever. This man asked us if we wanted to go in as we stop gaping at it. Of course we did and we went in as they were doing prayers. It was fabulous. After they were done we got to walk around and this huge group of children came up to ask and asked why we were there and if we liked their town. Some older people came over and talked to us in a mixture of german, english, and turkish asking how we liked the town and the mosque and where we were from. They were all just delightful.

We stayed in the funniest hotel in Adana. It was perfect. We got to watch BBC News and some german channels so it was perfect. There was a phone in the bathroom of this place lol and the scariest elevator! I don't like the elevators where you open the door and step in and then you go up and down but you have to make sure not to lean on the place where the door was.
Next stop was Cappadocia!
